Our Scholarships

Our mission is to promote international understanding by preserving and sharing Scandinavian heritage and culture with our community. We offer two types of scholarships to local students entering or enrolled in college.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Financial assistance of $4,000 is offered to students who have a family tie to Scandinavia or are interested in studying an aspect of Scandinavian culture. The scholarship is administered by the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara and paid to the school.

SCANDINAVIAN SUMMER PROGRAM

The Scandinavian Summer Program provides a $4,000 stipend to students interested in learning first-hand about Scandinavia, typically by enrolling in a summer school program in one of the five Scandinavian countries. Deadline: January 15, 2027.
